That's the vision that was planted in the heart of Pastor Steven Furtick at the age of 16. In 2005, God assembled a group of families around Pastor Furtick to begin seeing this vision come to life. In February of 2006, Elevation Church launched its first worship experience. Two and a half short years later Elevation Church is meeting in multiple locations with a weekly attendance that has topped 4,000. Through God's favor and a relentless pursuit of His vision we have watched over 2,000 people profess faith in Jesus Christ during our second year of ministry. Commitment to the vision of life transformation is what drives every corner of this ministry. These songs were birthed from the heart of this movement. Our hope is that through these songs, you'll experience a glimpse of this revolutionary move of God. The band released three independent studio albums before they signed with Essential Records in 2011. For the Honor, their debut album on a major label, was released on November 21, 2011 which saw chart success on Billboard charts, including No. 1 on Heatseekers, No. 19 on the Christian Albums, and the Billboard 200 at No. 193. "Nothing Is Wasted" was released on February 19, 2013 on Essential, also seeing chart success – No. 1 on the Christian Albums chart and at No. 41 on the Billboard 200.[1][5] Only King Forever, their third album on Essential, was released January 14, 2014, debuting at their highest charting position, No. 23 on the Billboard 200. This album was recorded live in Charlotte in 2013. Elevation Worship's fourth album, Wake Up the Wonder, was recorded live on August 1, 2014 at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina, and was released on November 25, 2014. On July 31, 2015, they held another live recording at Time Warner Cable Arena for their fifth album, Here As in Heaven, their first album released on their own label, Elevation Worship Records. It was released on February 5, 2016 and peaked No. 1 on US Album charts. Their fifth album, There Is a Cloud, was released on March 17, 2017 after being recorded at Elevation Ballantyne during the church's revival, "Code Orange Revival". After There is a Cloud, Elevation released their first Spanish album, Lo Harás Otra Vez on August 18, 2017. This album peaked at number two in US Latin album sales. On September 28, 2018, Elevation released their eleventh live album, Hallelujah Here Below, Which was nominated for the Grammy's 2019 Best Contemporary Christian Music Album. On April 12, 2019, Elevation released Paradoxology, which is a reimagined album with different takes on the songs from their latest album Hallelujah Here Below like “Here Again,” “Echo,” and “Won’t Stop Now.” Paradoxology also includes a new single, “With You.”[13] Aleluya (En La Tierra) is Elevation's second album in Spanish and was released on July 19, 2019. It peaked at eight on US Latin Album Sales. Lastly, At Midnight, Elevation's seventh EP, was released on August 30 2019.

Oh how I need Your grace
More than my words can say
Jesus I come, Jesus I come
In all my weaknesses
You are my confidence
Jesus I come, Jesus I come
I will rise, stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To Your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring (oh)
Oh what amazing love
We need Your cleansing flood
Jesus I come, Jesus I come
In every broken place
You are my righteousness
Jesus I come, Jesus I come
I will rise, stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To Your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring
I will rise, stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To Your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring (oh)
Thank You Jesus
Just as I am I come
Hallelujah
Oh what amazing love
Thank You Jesus
Just as I am I come (just as we are)
Hallelujah
Oh what amazing love
Thank You Jesus
Just as I am I come
Hallelujah
Oh what amazing love
Thank You Jesus
Just as I am I come
Hallelujah
Oh what amazing love
I will rise, stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To Your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring
I will rise, stand redeemed
Heaven open over me
To Your name eternally
Endless glory I will bring (oh, oh)
In Elevation Worship's "Jesus I Come," the singer tells of their deep need for God's grace in a way that surpasses what mere words can express. The first verse communicates that the singer recognizes their own weakness and that, against all odds, God is their confidence. The chorus expresses the resolve that the singer will rise up, feeling free and redeemed, with heaven opened above them. The second verse builds off of the first, emphasizing the need for God's love to wash away all impurity and brokenness. The chorus repeats twice more before ending with the singer thanking Jesus and marveling over the incredible love he has for all of us.
The song paints a picture of someone who understands that they are not enough on their own, but they come anyway, just as they are, with full surrender. The lyrics encapsulate the foundational Christian belief that we have a God who loves us unconditionally, no matter how broken or unworthy we may feel. The ultimate message of the song is one of redemption and transformation, as we are lifted up and made whole by God's grace.
Overall, "Jesus I Come" is a song of surrender and proclaiming the goodness of Christ. The melody is an upbeat rock-style tune that lends itself to being sung loudly and passionately. The lyrics encourage a spirit of worship that can be used individually or corporately.
